Meet The Family
We're David and Adele, an alternative couple who decided life was far too short to keep waiting for the "perfect time."
For years, we lived with the feeling that life was always just around the corner.
Every time we started to build hope, something seemed to knock it back down again. Plans changed. Dreams were postponed. We found ourselves waiting for the day everything would finally be "right" before we allowed ourselves to truly live.
Eventually, we realised that perfect moment was never going to arrive.
So instead of waiting for certainty, we chose freedom.
After navigating ongoing health challenges and being reminded more than once that tomorrow isn't guaranteed, we stopped putting life on hold and swapped ordinary routines for life on the road, open skies, hidden campsites and the freedom to wander wherever curiosity (or questionable sat nav decisions) takes us.
Somewhere between conversations on a sofa and daydreams of escape, Apparel Alchemists was born.
Meet Selina, Morrow & Bones
You'll probably meet Selina, Morrow and Bones long before you meet us.
They're more than characters. They're the heart of Apparel Alchemists.
Every adventure they take is inspired by places we've explored, conversations we've had and memories we've collected along the way.
As our journey continues, so will theirs.
Through social videos, artwork and the designs we create, they'll be travelling every mile beside us.
They're our way of turning ordinary journeys into stories you'll want to come back to.
Our Little Campfire Family
Travelling with us is Einy, our scruffy four-legged co-pilot.
He's named after Einstein because our love of Back to the Future runs almost as deep as our love of camping.
His daily responsibilities include supervising campsite setup, demanding snacks at completely inappropriate moments and ensuring no biscuit is ever left unattended.
Life also introduced us to someone we never expected.
During one of the hardest chapters of our lives, Adele met an incredible cancer nurse whose kindness went far beyond her job.
When the hospital visits ended, the friendship didn't.
Today she lives with us, we simply call her Mum, and she'll soon be joining us on our travels as we continue exploring together.
After losing both of her parents at a young age, Adele never imagined she'd one day gain a mum through such unexpected circumstances.
Sometimes family isn't only the people we're born to.
Sometimes it's the people who choose to stay.
